Pet medical emergency in Montenegro
In this article we will respond to the question what to do if an animal near you has a medical emergency and it's late in the evening/at night/early in the morning/ Sunday afternoo, i.e. after hours.
If an urgent vet help is needed during day time on a workday - check out the list of Montenegrin vet clinics and visit the one closest to you.
At the end of this article you'll find the info on where to ask for a pet carrier and how to find a transport to the clinic if you need one.
First and foremost, please note there is only one 24h vet clinic in Montenegro, Hasvet International in Podgorica!
Most clinics are open on weekdays and Saturdays, some are working on Sundays too but only in the morning.
Also we should warn you that there are no licensed visiting vets both for emergency and for routine pet care in Montenegro.
In some clinics there are emergency lines and doctors on duty who can come to the clinic upon request (not always!)

To define the nearest clinic, use Google maps https://www.google.com/maps and type “veterinar” or "vet clinic" in the search line. You can sort the results by relevance or distance, to see how far the clinic is from you.

❗️ We don't recommend to visit the Marysol clinic in Radanovici even in case of emergency.
2. If no one answers your call in the nearest clinic, try calling 24/7 Hasvet or all those clinics with emergency lines to see which one answers. If several clinics are happy to receive you - go to the nearest one:

Regular taxis are normally totally fine with transporting a dog or a cat, especially in a pet carrier.
